choosing THE RIGHT TATTOOIST in 5 steps

Leaving a tattoo studio being disappointed has tremendously negative effects on the whole community….

because a disappointed client will choose the tattooist, but he will nevertheless remain a disappointed client and he will inevitably become a real pain in the arse ^_^

. rightly so .
his trust has been undermined and now he wants reassurances

but no worries guys, here I am ^_^

In this galactic guide for the stalker client
I will show you a useful path to find the best tattooist for you and your needs

guys, I am quite fussy when it comes to food…
I mean, if a meal doesn’t satisfy me, that ruins my mood for the whole day!!!

and I can fiercely argue with a waiter if he brings me a salad that tastes of plastic ^_^

and I could even eat in one bite a tattooist if he gives me a sh..tattoo ^_^
however, I have to say, it is easier for me to choose a wrong restaurant than a wrong tattooist, because I choose a tattooist very, very carefully!!!!

[so ] let’s go back to the restaurant:

you know when you are in a new place and you have to look for a good restaurant for a dinner, maybe an important and romantic one?

well…. as for me, this is basically what I do not to be f…d:

first of all, I try to understand exactly what I want: going to a sushi bar, to a pizza place or to Anna’s…three very different things!

> second thing, I consult Google or trip advisor and I start a more refined research, like : #restaurant#vegan#milan

> WOW! This one seems amazing!!!!! But let’s see… are there any others? maybe better?

and I’ll scroll down all the pictures
I’ll open, enlarge and look closely at them…
and if I only find pictures of the dishes and none of the restaurant then something doesn’t seem right to me…

> if the pics trial went ok, I will then read the reviews of the other clients …
I am not happy merely with the amount of the stars, they could well be the three comments of the owner, his wife and of the grandchild!!!

> let’s have a close look at the information: is it open today? How do you book? Is there a number? Is there a web site too among the pics?

Ok, at this point, if all the astral coincidences work fine I will call ^_^
if they sound friendly over the phone the deal is done!!!

ok then… the table is booked
. amazing dinner .
yeah, I am a bit of a stalker, but food is really important stuff, come on ^_^

ok… sorry guys, I got lost a bit in that… the title of this article was about something else…

o8

: how can you find the right tattoo for you?
!!! EXACTLY IN THE SAME WAY !!!

ok then… let’s not beat about the bush
let’s apply the points above about the restaurant to the tattooists

I really want you to get good tattoos and to be happy with them

I get broken hearted when you tell me:
“ the drawing he showed me was very different from this thing here!”
“ it looks like a five –year-old has drawn it“
“ can you cover it? Oh my God, I regretted it immediately afterwards!!!”
“ I am ashamed even to show you… don’t laugh please…”

let’s try to be clear about the tattooist that we want: my gran used to say that prevention is better than cure!

“curing” in these cases, indeed, is always a bad idea…

so, shall we start…..?

vintage

. STEP1 .

first of all, let’s try to understand exactly what kind of tattoo you are looking for…

surf the internet

do some research about the different styles of tattoos, try to establish WHICH STYLE you like more FOR THIS PARTICULAR TATTOO that you want now

if you have a Maori tattoo that doesn’t mean that you will have to get Maori tattoos all over your body

and if you got your first tattoo at Tom’s that doesn’t mean that you can’t get your second one at Dick or Harry’s

no no nononononono no no

every single tattoo has got a particular meaning and moods and every tattoo could require a different style from all the others, you never know

Pinterest and Instagram can be very interesting research platforms …excellent ones I’d say!
Thanks to the # you can do very detailed research about the different styles and see the differences between one and the other…

do you want some examples?
colourful or black and white, watercolor, abstract, old school, Japanese, Maori, ornamental, lettering…
and avant-garde of course! of which I am part of as well ^_^

>>> ok then… have you chosen what you would like to eat tonight then? trattoria, pizza or sushi?

let’s go on

10

. STEP2 .

open google
(instagram too can sometimes be useful, but it is harder to pinpoint the tattooist)
Or try to carry on a more sensible research > like: #tattoo#realistic#lombardy

something important guys…. I’d like to remind you that a tattoo is for good!

[so:]
even if you have to drive hundreds of kilometers to reach your chosen tattooist, what’s the problem??

maybe you could get the chance to organize a long weekend going away with your sweetheart too and you could come back home quite satisfied

wouldn’t it be ok? I think so, but that’s me and everybody takes his own decisions ^_^
just remember that a tattoo is forever…

so, in a nutshell… start online research in the evening, when you lie down on your sofa before going to bed

apart from the web, another good way to find interesting tattooists is using magazines
for the people that still love paper… (LIKE ME)

>>> and please remember… if you fancy eating sushi don’t go to a good pizza place and demand to have sushi too!

NO! if you want to eat sushi go a Japanese restaurant!
if you go to a pizza place then you order a pizza!

let’s not get confused, ok?

so, if you want a Maori tattoo go to a tattooist that makes them…don’t go and ask somebody that specializes in writing, ok? ^_^

>>> well, have you found someone that looks interesting? Very well then, save him on your list of the favourite ones so now you can stalk them a bit, come on guys

03

. STEP3 .

pics, what a great XXI century invention
they are basically just so adorable for the stalker ^_^

now, take a group of pics at RANDOM, I’ll say that again, at RANDOM
now choose not 10 you like the best, but ten pics at random!

how many of these do you like? All of them? 8? 4?

so you can estimate how many probabilities the tattooist has got to make something that you like ^_^

(even if you have to consider that sometimes you don’t like a tattoo because maybe that’s not your style really, or because you are not keen on those subjects, or those colours … but anyway, you can have an idea, even if it’s not scientifically perfect.)

pay always attention :

> are there pics of the studio?
do you like it? does it look cozy? does it look clean?

> are there pics of the tattooist?
do you know his face? do you think he can understand you? do you have a good vibe about it?

you will have to spend a few hours together with him… you will have to feel at ease in that studio and with that person

. STEP4 .

read the reviews of the other clients it’s crucially important guys!!!

everything you find on the web is always the information that the tattooist chose personally to spread, so IT IS ALWAYS TENDS TO BE POSITIVE!

at least in theory….

there are always very confident people that do real tacky things and they are convinced that they have done the BEST tattoos ever and fill the web with their horrendous things without even realizing… but it was forever thus?

[little mice, how cute they are ]

THE REVIEWS, on the other hand, are real information that clients divulged, it is direct experience that the client lived in the first person and it is therefore something reliable.

>>> and the tattooists cannot control them at all

. STEP5 .

read the reviews of the other clients it’s crucially important guys!!!

everything you find on the web is always the information that the tattooist chose personally to spread, so IT IS ALWAYS TENDS TO BE POSITIVE!

[little mice, how cute they are ]

THE REVIEWS, on the other hand, are real information that clients divulged, it is direct experience that the client lived in the first person and it is therefore something reliable.

>>> and the tattooists cannot control them at all MY INSTAGRAM PROFILE:

do you see how much information you can find simply looking at the Bio and the highlighted stories?

and if, by any chance, you are not following me yet, now you have got the right excuse to start doing that ^_^

but going back to us:
is there any information on how to contact the tattooist you chose?
where does he work? opening hours?
how can you submit a project to him?

>>> every tattooist has got a different modus operandi, let’s try to respect that, it is a good thing ^_^
and I guess that you too want to start the contact with the right foot

you know… to stalk is useful for us tattooists too, not just for you clients

> why?

because if you already know a lot about us when we meet, we can save a lot of time and energy and you will have fewer questions to ask

you will be sure about the fact you want us, that means it will be very likely that we have something in common and this facilitates the creative process that will follow

furthermore you won’t have doubts about us
we will perceive it and we will work better ^_^

so, please stalk us
so that when you come here you will be sure, happy and ready

. the end .

I’d say that the galactic guide for the client stalker is finished ^_^

now go and stalk away
so maybe you will indulge yourself in some gossip and when you are eventually ready to get your tattoo, you will definitely be sure you have chosen the best for you ^_^ and this is not a little thing, is it?

with love, but always irriverent
